Richardson Landscape Construction Ltd is a family run business based in Fordham, Essex. Headed up by Mark, we have the experience to complete a range of landscaping services, whether working directly with you or liaising with your garden designer.

We specialise in laying natural stone paving but love to get involved in projects of all varieties. We have the tools and experience to complete an assignment on time and on budget and take pride in working as neatly as possible to minimise disruption to you.

We are proud to be an accredited member of the Association of Professional Landscapers, which means we are subject to a thorough annual inspection of the quality or our work and our working practices. This means you can be confident that our work and compliance is of the highest standard in the industry. This also means we are endorsed by TrustMark, a governmentally endorsed trade initiative.

Mark Richardson began his landscaping career at Writtle University College where he studied landscaping. Having grown up in a farming family, working with nature and machinery was second nature to him and so he found himself more drawn to the hard landscaping aspects of the course. 

When he left Writtle, he started work for a local landscaping firm where he received many years’ experience on a variety of projects in and around London, Essex and Suffolk and where he worked his way up to Project Manager. This included building Chelsea Flower Show gardens, which really taught him the value of teamwork when faced with short deadlines! He credits this time as giving him a fantastic grounding in many landscaping skills and use of large machinery.

He always had the ambition to start his own company and so in 2012, he set up Richardson Landscapes. The business has grown and remains a family affair with his wife Lucy working in the background to keep things organised.
