The enquiry

The client had previously had some composite decking built but there was a significant drop in level down to an area where they wanted to have a lawn.

The job

The area had become filled with weeds throughout the summer and so it was important for us to deal with those to prevent them coming back through the lawn. Firstly we went in and hand-weeded most of the large weeds and then followed that by spraying with some weed killer. 

A few weeks later we returned to bring in 16 tonne of screened soil to lift the whole area and provide a healthy, base for the turf to grow. We laid the turf just before a large rain storm which would have really helped to encourage the grass to set root.

What do we love about it?

The lovely new emerald green turf finishes off the client’s design beautifully and it has all winter  to embed into the soil and be ready for garden parties in the summer.
