Secluded hideaway – Lavenham

Project Type:

Redesign

Project Duration:

1 month

The enquiry

We’d had the pleasure of working with the designer on this project many times before and once we’d seen the design on paper, we were sold! The clients were in the process of of completely renovating their home in Lavenham and this garden was to be the last element to complete their fantastic property.

The job

The first part, as is often the case, was a large clearance exercise to take the garden back to square one. This particular garden wraps around the back of the property and so careful planning was needed in to be able to work in the right order.

The porcelain area at the furthest corner of the design and the around it went down first and the intricate path with herringbone detail in the corner came next. This gave the garden its structure. Following this, the large steel structures were brought in by a local specialist and the corten steel was attached to a block wall we’d built around the patio.

We finished by bringing in some gravel, creating the beds and laying the circular lawn. This garden is now a regular entrant into the local open gardens and we love coming back to see it fully planted and still looking spectacular.

How long did it take?

One month.

What do we love about it?

This space is incredibly special and one of our favourites. The little details in the garden took a lot of effort but they really pay off!
