These clients were working with a local designer who had come up with this spectacular gravel design, including a striking central rill.

The job

The rill was a large job in itself. We need to dig out the channel and build it up to be strong enough to hold the volume of water. The sides were painted with a bitumin paint to prevent leakages were possible.

The rest of the garden came together after that, including two beautiful brick-paved base to site a gin bar and seating area! Perfect for evening entertaining.

What do we love about it?

This garden is a really beautiful, low maintenance space. The grasses add movement and will look as fantastic in the winter as they do in summer. The reflections in the water and linear nature bring your eye to a minimalistic water feature which provides a wonderful sound to relax with while sipping your drink.
